1. L/T5044-2004 Electric Power Industry Standard of the China

When selecting multi-core cables, the allowable current carrying capacity can be calculated based on the value of single core cables with the same cross-section.

Copper core cables should be selected for the control and signal wires led out from the DC cabinet. The voltage drop should not exceed 5% of the nominal voltage of the DC system. The selection and laying of DC cables should comply with the relevant regulations in GB50217.

2. B50217 Code for Design of Electric Power Engineering Cables

The DC power supply circuit should use two core cables, and single core cables can be used when needed. PVC insulated cables should not be used in places with high temperatures (above 100 ℃) or low temperatures (below -20 ℃). When directly buried cables are laid, steel tape armored cables should be used when the cables are subjected to significant pressure or there is a risk of mechanical damage. The temperature of the cable core under the maximum working current shall not exceed the allowable value determined based on the service life of the cable. Determine the ambient temperature for the continuous allowable current carrying capacity of the cable. If the cable is laid in the air or cable trench, the average value of the highest temperature on the hottest month should be taken.

3. The selection of cable path should comply with the following regulations

(1) Avoid cables from mechanical external forces, overheating, corrosion, and other hazards.

(2) Make the cable shorter while meeting safety requirements.

(3) Easy to lay and maintain.

(4) Avoid areas that will be excavated for construction

(5) The cable should meet the allowable bending radius requirement when changing its components in any laying method and all path conditions.
